Freeze casting with bioceramics affords the opportunity to create next generation of bone graft substitutes. Because its versatile material fabrication process and effective methods structural control, freeze helps meet many criteria that are required viable substitute biomaterials. In combination biocompatible resorbable ceramics ceramic composites can offer growth through osteoconduction, this provide a tailored pore structure while maintaining necessary mechanical properties for growth. Here, advantages orthopedic dental applications summarized: in particular, these include compatibility large variety bioceramics, forms both uniform localized ability be used other advanced manufacturing processes.
